All of these template documents cover the following:
- the licensing of software by one business to another; and
- the provision of support and maintenance services in relation to the licensed software.
The licensing provisions are flexible, designed to cover a wide range of different types of software licence. For instance, the document can be used in relation to perpetual/non-expiring or time-limited licences; it can be used for exclusive or non-exclusive licences; and it can be used licences where charges are based on numbers of users or installations.
The support provisions are set out in a special clause and a corresponding support SLA. If you do not want to specify the support services in any detail, then it's easy to remove the support SLA from the document.
Likewise, the maintenance provisions are split between the body of the agreement and a dedicated SLA, and the latter can be removed with minimal amendments to the former.
