The support and maintenance services that may be provided under the agreement include: (i) the provision of a helpdesk, (ii) assistance with the use of software, (iii) error-fixing services, (iv) upgrades to software and (v) the development of new software functionality.
The software maintenance agreement also includes provisions allowing for the licensing of modifications created by the supplier when providing the services.
